The Short saves 14 inches of length compared with the regular Foamy. The Wide adds 5 inches of width while keeping the regular length. Check your sleeping position and the usable floor or platform space, including door and wall clearance, before choosing.

Insulation and sleeping setup
HEST lists an R-value of 8.8 for the Foamy. Its general mattress guidance references ASTM F3340-18, but the reviewed sources do not provide a model-specific laboratory report or identify the tested size. Treat 8.8 as the manufacturer's published insulation rating, not a guaranteed comfortable outdoor temperature.

Packing and care
Unclip the compression harness and unroll the mattress for use. To pack, begin rolling at the head end, compress gradually, then fasten the clips and cinch the straps.
Remove the foam before washing the cover. HEST recommends a cold gentle wash and hang drying for longevity. Store in a cool, dry location and follow the product's care label. See HEST's setup, packing and care instructions.
