About Us

The Kodiak bear is a symbol of independence, resilience, and strength — traits forged by hard work and life outdoors. At Kodiak Outfitters, those values run deep. I grew up in a small American town owned by a lumber mill, where generations of my family worked as loggers. I’ve worked the trades, built alongside craftsmen, and learned the meaning of grit and reliability in the outdoors.

But my path also led me through tech startups, where I saw how innovation and drive can turn small ideas into lasting movements. And for the last decade, I’ve worked in the whiskey industry, helping brands tell their stories and make their mark. Through it all, one truth has stood out: people connect with products that are authentic, well-crafted, and made with purpose.

That’s the spirit behind Kodiak Outfitters. While we carry the name brands you know and love, our true focus is on American-made gear from neighbors, friends, and family — small, upcoming brands built by the very people who hunt, fish, ride, and camp on these lands. These are products born from experience: made by those who know the outdoors because they live it.

And because we believe in protecting the places that shape us, we give back 1% of every sale to The Conservation Alliance, ensuring that public lands remain open, thriving, and accessible for generations to come.

Kodiak Outfitters isn’t just a store — it’s a tribute to America’s backbone: the builders, the innovators, and the outdoorsmen who keep our traditions alive while forging new ones.
