MSR 2027 Tent & Coffee Gear Previews

FreeLite Stash: choose capacity before comparing weight

The FreeLite Stash preview includes 1-person, 2-person and 3-person options. MSR describes a rectangular footprint, shorter DAC BeyondLite pole sections, a gear loft and clotheslines. The compact pole set is a packing feature; it does not establish that the tent will fit every frame bag or pannier.

Start with your number of sleepers and the floor space your sleeping pads require. Then compare the exact capacity's final floor dimensions, packed dimensions and weight definition. Do not apply the 1-person figures to the 2-person or 3-person tent, or assume earlier FreeLite specifications describe the new Stash.

Titan Pour Over: brewing over a mug

The Titan Pour Over is a titanium brewer made from three removable panels that pack flat. MSR specifies a #3 V60 conical filter and a published weight of 1.73 oz. Compare the brewer's fit with your intended mug and include filters in your coffee kit. A mug or kettle shown in a product image is not evidence that it comes with the brewer.

French Press: match the accessory to your pot

The 2027 French Press is offered in 1.0L and 1.8L versions. MSR names WindBurner Personal, WindBurner Duo and Switch pots in its announcement. Confirm the press size against your exact pot before choosing. This is the press assembly, not a complete stove-and-pot package.

The two brewing approaches use different equipment: the Pour Over sits above a mug, while the press works inside a compatible pot. Compare the whole setup you already own rather than choosing on the accessory's weight alone.

When does the 2027 range arrive?

MSR announced January 2027 availability through its own channels and select retailers. Kodiak's arrival date and selling prices are still unconfirmed. A manufacturer launch window is not a delivery commitment from Kodiak.
