UCO Lanterns, Fire Starters & Camp Kitchen Gear

Candle lantern or LED light?

The Original Candle Lantern is a compact single-candle design with a collapsible body. The larger Candlelier uses three candles for a different tabletop lighting setup. Compare the space available, the amount you want to carry and whether an open flame is appropriate at your destination. Candle burn duration depends on the specific candle, and a total for several candles should not be read as one continuous runtime with every candle burning together.

For a flame-free option, compare the Sprout LED Lantern with the Leschi LED Lantern & Flashlight. Sprout offers a small area light with adjustable output and a magnetic hanging system. Leschi combines a lantern and directional flashlight format. Check the battery requirements and the output mode associated with any runtime figure before packing your lighting supply.

Use candle lanterns only where permitted and follow the included instructions. Keep a burning candle in sight and away from combustible items, children and pets. Choose a flame-free light when an open flame is unsuitable, and allow a candle lantern to cool before handling or storing it.

Match replacement parts to the lantern

• Original replacement glass is specified for the Original Candle Lantern.
• Candlelier replacement glass is listed separately for that model.
• The Original & Mini Cocoon Case and the Candlelier Cocoon Case are different carrying accessories.
• UCO replacement candles, beeswax candles and citronella candles are consumables. Confirm lantern compatibility and the quantity in the selected pack.

A replacement chimney or padded case does not include a lantern unless the product listing expressly says so. Start with your lantern's model name before selecting spares.

Plan a camp kitchen by people and pieces

The UCO Mess Kit has different kit configurations, while the ECO 5-Piece Mess Kit is another individual dining option. Count the bowls, utensils and other parts included in the exact version. For a group, compare the ECO 4-Person Tableset with the 12-piece utensil set: a set of cutlery is not a complete set of plates and bowls.

For smaller packing lists, consider Utility Sporks, the Titanium Utility Spork or the two-piece Switch Spork. The Switch separates into utensils and can extend for deeper meal bags. Mini Sporks are a smaller format intended for young children; choose the size around the user and the meal container.

Fire-starting supplies and common questions

Are all UCO matches and fire starters the same?

No. Compare ordinary waterproof matches, stormproof match kits, strikeable Sweetfire products and separate biofuel tabs by the exact listing. Some items are ignition tools, some are consumable tinder, and kits combine selected pieces. Check what is included and follow local fire restrictions and the manufacturer's use instructions.

Where can I confirm candle-lantern details?

UCO's Original Candle Lantern guide explains the current design and candle compatibility. For other lighting approaches, explore camping lanterns; for tableware and campsite essentials, browse camping gear. Availability and package contents appear on each Kodiak product page.
