Compare the VentaPak backpack ventilation accessory and Breeze 25 backpack at Kodiak Outfitters. Choose between adding a removable air-gap frame to a pack you already own and buying a backpack with ventilation built into its design.
The VentaPak ventilation frame accessory places tensioned mesh and a curved frame between your back and a compatible backpack. Adjustable webbing attaches the accessory to the pack. The accessory listing does not include a backpack.
The Standard frame measures approximately 16.5 inches high by 12 inches wide, with 2–3 inches of depth and a weight of about 12 ounces. Medium/Small measures approximately 14.5 by 11.5 inches, with 1–2 inches of depth and a weight of about 11 ounces.
VentaPak recommends backpacks approximately 8 inches or more in width and 12–19 inches in height. Those measurements are a starting point: also compare the pack’s shape and attachment layout with the manufacturer’s sizing guidance. A frame that fits the wearer still needs to fit the backpack. Include its added depth when considering how the pack will sit behind you.
The Breeze 25 ventilated backpack incorporates a concave mesh frame into a roll-top pack. Its listed 25-liter capacity expands to 40 liters, with side access as well as the roll-top opening. This is a complete backpack, unlike the separate ventilation frame.
Expanded storage volume is not a stated carrying-weight limit. Compare the packed dimensions, organization and comfortable fit for your intended load before choosing it for commuting, day hikes or travel.
For the accessory, measure your existing bag and check how the straps will attach. For Breeze 25, compare the complete pack’s storage and access with what you carry. Use the selected product page for current size options and availability. Browse hiking gear for complementary equipment.
