Easton X4 Release Date, Grades and Spine Specifications

Easton announced the X4 on October 27, 2026, but has not supplied a US delivery date in the reviewed announcement or model page. Its announcement says Standard Grade and Match Grade will be available. Kodiak’s arrival date and selling price are not confirmed. Last checked October 29, 2026.

What is the Easton X4?

X4 is a small-diameter carbon target arrow shaft built around Easton’s 4mm, 0.167-inch internal-diameter platform. Easton describes its Acu-Carbon process as producing consistent spine around the shaft. That is a manufacturer description, not a Kodiak field-test result.

Standard Grade versus Match Grade

Both grades belong to the X4 platform. Easton lists straightness tolerances of ±0.003 inch for Standard and ±0.001 inch for Match Grade. Match Grade adds a five-point straightness inspection, precision-squared nock-end cut to ±0.001 inch, and a stated no-sanding fit with Easton nocks and nock collars. Component sizes still depend on the chosen spine; use Easton’s fitment table rather than treating every 4mm component as interchangeable.

These are Easton’s published uncut shaft figures. They do not represent a finished arrow weight. Nock pins are included; pin nocks are sold separately. Select spine for the actual bow setup using Easton’s shaft selector or a qualified archery dealer.

What is known about availability?

The October 27 manufacturer announcement uses forthcoming availability language without a calendar date. Pats Archery in Australia lists a Match Grade 12-shaft pack for preorder as of October 29. That regional listing does not establish US stock, Kodiak allocation, a US price or a guaranteed delivery date.

Names and product imagery

Easton’s current page and announcement call the higher-inspection version Match Grade. Some manufacturer artwork still carries Podium Grade markings. We follow the current written specifications and do not treat that artwork as proof of a separate model or revision. The illustration shows fletching and nocks; it does not establish those parts as included with the shaft.

What remains unconfirmed?

US shipping date, Kodiak arrival, final retail price and Kodiak pack configuration remain unconfirmed. No purchase or preorder is offered here. On the Easton X4 product page, select the grade and spine and use its availability notification form for that exact variant.
