ePropulsion kMax Battery Release Date and Specifications

ePropulsion says the kMax Battery is coming in Spring 2027. That is the manufacturer’s release window; Kodiak has no confirmed arrival date.

What is confirmed?

  • LiFePO4 chemistry; 1,024Wh, 20Ah and 51.2V rated voltage (48V class).
  • 24.3lb (11kg); specification-table dimensions 350 × 183 × 192mm.
  • Up to four batteries in parallel; series connection is not specified.
  • Integrated power/communication connection, Bluetooth app monitoring and IP67 manufacturer rating.

What does 48V mean here?

The product is marketed as 48V, while the manufacturer’s specification table gives a rated voltage of 51.2V. Those labels describe the same announced battery, not two separate versions.

One battery or a larger bank?

One unit stores 1,024Wh. Four permitted parallel units total 4,096Wh by arithmetic; that does not establish motor runtime, which depends on the complete system and operating conditions.

Price, package and compatibility

Exact launch day, Kodiak arrival, price, allocation, charger and cable package are unconfirmed. Verify the exact motor, charger and connection requirements before selecting a battery; voltage alone does not establish compatibility.

The manufacturer’s text rounds the width differently in two sections; the metric specification-table dimensions are used here. The kMax battery is separate from the similarly named kMax 2200 motor.
