Osprey ThrU-Lite Pro 40: Fall 2026 and 2027 Release Timeline

Osprey’s ThrULite Pro 40 is a 40-liter pack preview. Firsthand trade-show reporting describes an initial fall 2026 release through Osprey and independent retailers, followed by broader retail availability in 2027. Kodiak allocation and arrival remain unconfirmed.

Choose the exact capacity

The reported family includes 20-, 40- and 55-liter packs. This guide covers the 40. Shared family naming does not establish identical dimensions, suspension, fit or load guidance across all three.

Fit is separate from volume

Forty liters describes storage capacity, not torso length. Compare the final torso range and waist-belt measurements with your own measurements, and check the manufacturer’s load guidance for your packed equipment. Do not transfer the fit of an Exos or another Osprey family to this model.

Read preview weight cautiously

Earlier preview material describes approximately 1.5 lb. A final size-specific specification and included-component list are needed for a dependable comparison. Removable components can affect the quoted weight, so compare equivalent configurations.

Weather resistance and package

Fabric branding does not by itself establish a waterproof pack. Confirm seam construction, closure instructions and the final weather-protection statement. A liner, rain cover or accessories shown in photography should not be assumed to come in the package.

Release timing versus Kodiak stock

A phased retail rollout is not a single worldwide launch day or a promise that every retailer receives stock. Kodiak currently has no available inventory for this preview. Its product alert requests news without reserving a size or placing an order.
