Its North American announcement describes an optional satellite backup connection for locations where cellular service is weak or unavailable. An exact launch date has not been confirmed in the sources checked below.

• A cellular trail camera with dual-SIM connectivity and a satellite backup option.
• Satellite backup is accessed through SPYPOINT transmission-plan options and app settings.
• The official FLEX-series page lists 40 MP photos, 1080p video, a 0.3-second trigger speed and a 100-foot detection/flash range.
• The announcement describes a reinforced shell, durable antenna and improved latch.

The key question is what the satellite connection will carry when cellular service drops. The sources reviewed do not establish the final satellite-plan price, message or image allowances, transmission limits, or performance at your intended camera site. Do not assume satellite backup includes live video or the same service as a cellular plan.

Before buying, confirm the final service details, power requirements, included accessories and coverage for your location. We are also watching for confirmed Kodiak pricing and a release date. Compare local recording, cellular transmission and satellite backup

These are separate functions. A camera’s photo or video resolution does not establish the format or size of a file sent through a satellite plan. Confirm which content can be transmitted, how often, and under what plan limits before choosing a service.

The manufacturer’s overview still displays Coming Soon in 2026. Its feature section and comparison table continue to disagree about low-glow support, so that detail remains unresolved here. The final plan cost, coverage and Kodiak arrival are not confirmed by the current preview.

Check the complete setup

Confirm the required power supply, storage media, antenna and included accessories on the final model specification. A separate solar accessory shown elsewhere on the manufacturer’s site is not automatically included with this camera.
